{"id":242,"date":"2008-07-22T12:14:06","date_gmt":"2008-07-22T19:14:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.angieandjim.com\/blog\/?p=242"},"modified":"2008-09-27T13:51:45","modified_gmt":"2008-09-27T20:51:45","slug":"try-me-night-review-red-hot-tomato-pepper-soup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.angieandjim.com\/blog\/2008\/07\/22\/try-me-night-review-red-hot-tomato-pepper-soup\/","title":{"rendered":"Try-Me-Night: Red Hot Tomato Pepper Soup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m rather proud of this recipe, because I made it up \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 Almost all of the ingredients can be found at our Costco, so we also affectionately call it &#8220;Costco soup.&#8221;\u00a0 It has become a favorite of ours &#8211; certainly more interesting than plain old tomato soup.\u00a0 It&#8217;s easy, so it&#8217;s a great meal to throw together on a chilly evening, or after a long day.\u00a0 It is also very spicy, so if you want to turn down the heat, just add one sausage instead of two, or cool your bowl down with a dallop of sour cream.<\/p>\n<p>The red pepper &amp; tomato soup I get from Costco isn&#8217;t always consistent in its&#8230; well, consistency.  I think that&#8217;s because it&#8217;s organic.  Anyway, if I happen to get a thicker batch, I thin it out with a little milk or chicken broth.
